A-Sultan - Ask Me to Stay

Rust on the fender, radio stuck on his station.
I drove a slope past the fence where he used to wait,
Now it's just me and the gravel and the morning going grey.
I told myself it's only a sail: one ride to the water,
One handshake, one check.
But I packed your favorite blanket in the back,
Just in case.
Ask me to stay, say it soft and say it now.
